[wedding]

Well, it's officially wedding season.
Which means for the rest of the summer, I'm pretty much not going 2 weeks without dj'ing or attending a wedding.

Here's an image from a beautiful wedding that I dj'ed in April:

They also requested some of the most fun music I've ever played at a wedding.

Jitterbug!

L-O-V-E: It's a mystery.

With friends like these, well who needs anemones?

I love getting obsessed with music that people request to be played at their weddings.

I will always love happy music.

On another note, I'm pretty darn sick.
It's not fun.
Here's a shot of my nightstand:
Blech.

[coke not cocaine]

One of the things I've missed the most about Orange County is doing really random things with my favorites.

Summer and I enjoy drinking our body weight in Coke.
We go to a certain gas station, and any size Coke there is only $1.
Why yes, I do like to drink my body weight in Coke.

[puff]

You know, I don't think that "Puff the Magic Dragon" was written about smoking pot, Greg Focker.

I think it's deeper than that. It's really a sad song if you listen to it.

An endearing tale about a little boy who found an amazing friend in this mythical dragon, and the dragon lives forever. But boys and girls don't.
Eventually this dragon meets the same fate that our friends Woody and Buzz will be encountering in "Toy Story 3" this summer.

The kindergarten class that I work in loves this song. We have a gorgeous book of this song, complete with beautiful illustrations.
The kids will spontaneously begin singing this song, and it's just so lovely.

The point of this song, I believe, is that there are friends that touch your life forever.
You go on amazing trips, you explore the world and you act bravely in the face of danger.

Yes, there does come a time to grow up, put off childish things and move on.
But we must never forget Puff, a magical creature that taught us about adventure, bravery, and true friendship.

[songs]

There are certain songs that I could listen to all day, every day, if I had a choice.

Honestly, I just NEVER get sick of them.

This occurred to me today, as I was driving along 580 in the rain, singing my lil heart out to "Down" by Jay Sean.

The songs...

I'm Yours by Jason Mraz

Everlasting Love by Carl Carlton

The Love You Save by the Jackson 5

Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus

I Say A Little Prayer by...anyone.

Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley

Sunday Morning by Maroon 5

It's Gonna Be Me by N*Sync

...and I'm sure there are more. : )
